Pair Indicted for April Burglary in Johnston

Johnston police arrested Samantha Manfredi and Alaina Bonafiglia for allegedly burglarizing a home in Johnston in April.

The Statewide Grand Jury on Wednesday reported out an indictment charging two women with burglary and robbery for allegedly burglarizing a Johnston house in April.

Attorney General Peter F. Kilmartin said Samantha Manfredi, 26, of 17 Sweetbriar St., Providence; and Alaina Bonafiglia, 30, of 5 Shari Drive, Johnston, were each charged with two counts of conspiracy, one count of burglary, one count of first-degree robbery and one count of obstruction.

It is alleged that the two women conspired to rob the house and committed the burglary on April 17. While doing so, they robbed the occupant, Kilmartin said.

Johnston police investigated the incident and both are due to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on July 29.
