Panthers B-Ball Squad To Face Prout On Friday Night
After Prout's convincing 76-45 win over Warwick Vets, the number 4 seed in the D-III tournament faces Johnston.

The boys' varsity basketball team now knows its next opponent in the Rhode Island Interscholastic League Division III tournament: The Prout School of Wakefield will meet the Panthers at the Commnity College of Rhode Island in Warwick on Feb. 25 at 8 p.m.
Prout handily on Tuesday night by a score of 76-45, setting up the Friday night showdown.
Johnston secured the top seed in the D-III playoffs with a 17-1 division record, 20-3 overall. After a first-round bye, the Panthers defeated Exeter-West Greenwich on Feb. 21, 67-57.

The Crusaders finished the regular season with a 14-4 record in D-III South, 17-6 overall, second in the south behind number-3 seed East Greenwich High School (15-3 in D-III South, 15-6 overall), which will face Juanita Sanchez in the 6 p.m. semifinal tilt on Friday night after the Avengers 54-40 on Monday night.
