Providence Man Charged With Thursday Morning Stabbing
According to Johnston police, a woman's ex-boyfriend broke into her home and stabbed another person.
JOHNSTON, RI—A suspect is in custody in connection with a stabbing Thursday morning, according to Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo.
Joseph Gauthier, 23, of Providence, was arrested in Johnston. He is being charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and breaking and entering, both felonies.
He is also being charged with violating a no conduct order and a domestic offense, both misdemeanors.

One victim was stabbed, police said, and the injuries are non life-threatening.
Gauthier broke into his ex-girl friend's house and stabbed her guest, police said. He is being held at the Johnston Police Department for questioning and will be taken to court to be arraigned later today.
