Police Break Off Pursuit on Rte 146
A vehicle with Florida plates was being chased by Johnston police, news sources say. The suspect has been arrested.
JOHNSTON, RI—A suspect in a road rage episode on Route 6 has been arrested. According to Deputy Chief Daniell Parrillo, the suspect, Justin Riccitelli, 25, of North Providence, was charged with reckless driving/eluding; disorderly conduct and vandalism, all misdemeanors. The incident happened around 12:55 p.m. on Plainfield Pike.
It began as a road rage incident, the deputy chief said. Riccitelli allegedly smashed the tail light of a vehicle and fled.
The chase ended in Pawtucket where he was arrested and given a summons to appear in court.
