Police Seek ID of Man who Dragged Elderly Woman in Purse Snatching Attempt

Johnston Police said this man pushed an elderly woman to the ground in a Stop and Shop parking lot in an attempt to steal her purse.

The Johnston Police Department is asking the public to help them identify a man who knocked an elderly woman to the ground and dragged her in attempt to steal her purse.

Police said the incident happened at around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday in the parking lot of the Stop and Shop on Commerce Way.

The victim suffered injuries.
