Retired Pawtucket Chief Named To Top Fire Department Post
Timothy McLaughlin served for 28 years in Pawtucket before he retired in 2010.

On March 16, Mayor Joseph M. Polisena appointed retired Pawtucket Fire Chief Timothy McLaughlin to the fire chief's post in . McLaughlin served as chief in Pawtucket for six years after more than 21 years rising through the ranks.
McLaughlin first joined the Pawtucket Fire Department in 1982 at the age of 19. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant on Feb. 28, 1999, and to chief on Jan. 18, 2004, by then-Mayor James E. Doyle.
Polisena made the announcement of McLaughlin's appointment during a ceremony at the Johnston Senior Center.
