Preview Of May 10, 2011 School Board Meeting
The board is scheduled to recognize the J-NP championship hockey team.
Tonight's Johnston School Committee meeting, scheduled for 7 p.m. at , is expected to include two commendations — one for Lisa Filippelli, the district's Teacher of the Year, and another for the Johnston-North Providence Cougars hockey team, who won the Division III state championship in March.
Filippelli also serves as chairwoman of the Board of Trustees.
According to the agenda posted for the May 10 session (attached to this article), the school committee is scheduled to begin an executive, or closed, session at 6 p.m., and to open the public portion of the meeting at 7.
