Providence Grand Jury: Johnston Suspect Indicted

Odilio Quiroa, 44, is suspected of child molestation, police said.

JOHNSTON, RI — The Providence Grand Jury has returned an indictment against a Johnston suspect accused of molesting a 14-year-old girl, the state Attorney General's office said Thursday. An indictment, information, or complaint is merely an allegation, the Attorney General's office said. The U.S. Constitution guarantees that a defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.

Odilio Quiroa, 44, of Johnston, is charged with four counts of first degree child molestation and three counts of second degree child molestation. Police allege he molested a girl, 14 or younger, between Jan. 1, 2011 and June 30, 2016.

The alleged incidents took place in Johnston. The Johnston Police conducted the investigation. Quiroa is scheduled to be arraigned in Providence County Superior Court on July 12.
