Providence Shooting Victim Turns Up at Atwood Avenue McDonalds

The Johnston police turned the case over to Providence detectives who are investigating.

JOHNSTON, RI — Deputy Chief Daniel Parrillo confirmed this morning (Monday, Dec. 5) a victim of a Providence shooting Saturday night called Johnston police for help from the Atwood Avenue McDonalds.

Once the dispatchers verified, the incident happened in Providence, the case was turned over to Providence detectives, Parrillo said.

The call came from the shooting victims, he said, but since Providence police responded, he did not know any details or if anyone was hospitalized.

Providence detectives did not return calls asking for information, but the shooting reportedly happened in Providence on Legion Memorial Drive near the Johnston line.
