RIDOT Lists Traffic, Construction Schedule

Interstate 95:

Providence: The on-ramp to I-95 SB from Memorial Blvd. will be narrowed for survey work, Sunday-Thursday from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Pawtucket: I-95 NB, from Exit 27 (Downtown) to Exit 28 (School St.), alternating lane closures for construction, Sunday- Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The right lane will be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. and the right two lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.

Pawtucket: I-95 between Exits 27 (George St.) and 28 (School St.) posted for use only by vehicles of less than 18 tons. Detours required for heavier vehicles.

Interstate 295:

Warwick: I-295 NB, just north of the Rte. 2 on-ramp, right shoulder closed for construction, Monday-Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

6/10 Connector:

Providence: Rte. 6 EB at the Route 6/10 Connector, left lane closed for construction, Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route 10:

Providence: The Union Avenue Bridge over Rte. 10 is closed until Spring 2012. Follow signed detours. RIPTA Bus # 18 offers free service during the bridge closure.

Rte. 146:

Lincoln: Rte. 146 NB and SB will be closed Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for construction on the Wilbur Road Bridge. A signed detour is in place, but motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes. Detour maps can be found online at
