Robbery At Johnston Walgreen's: Three Arrested: Clerk Hurt
A store clerk was assaulted and was treated for minor injuries, police said.

JOHNSTON, RI—A store clerk suffered minor injuries Wednesday during a robbery at the Walgreens at 25 Putnam Pike. Police responded and took a description of the suspect and the get away car, a gray Hyundai with Massachusetts Registration 4MK914.
Police put the information out, and Patrolman David T. Slinko stopped the suspect vehicle on the Providence/Johnston line of Route 6 east. Three suspects were arrested:
William E. Parenteau, 49, of Pawtucket, was charged with first degree robbery; Assault with Intent to Commit a Felony; and Conspiracy.

Timothy Ring, 40, of Woonsocket, was charged with Conspiracy to commit a Robbery and Driving with a Suspended License.

Peter J. Moscarelli, 52, of North Providence, was taken into custody on 10 outstanding arrest warrants was additionally charged with Conspiracy to Commit a Robbery and Obstruction.

The injured clerk was treated on scene and released.
Police said the store manager reported several cartons of cigarettes were stolen.
