Senior Center Hosts Medicare Open Enrollment

The is scheduled to hold a Medicare Open Enrollment session on Oct. 18 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for seniors looking to enroll in Medicare or to change their current coverage.

According to a press release from the Rhode Island Department of Human Services, Division of Elderly Affairs, the open enrollment period begins Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. Any changes made will take effect on Jan. 1, 2012.

Appointments are required for the open enrollment sessions. Call the Johnston Senior Center at (401) 944-3343 to schedule an appointment, or for more information.
