St. Rocco Student Is State Winner Of Poster Contest
Johnston resident Allison Pallotta's poster is chosen as Rhode Island's entry to the Missing Children's Day Poster Contest.

fifth-grade student Allison Pallotta has been chosen by the U.S. Department of Justice Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention as one of 43 state winners of the OJJDP's annual "National Missing Children's Day" poster contest.
Each year since 2000, students from across the country submit their designs for posters to raise awareness of missing children and how to prevent abductions and other harm to kids.
This year's theme was "Bring Our Missing Children Home."

In an e-mail message, St. Rocco Principal Magdalen Chianese said that officers from the Rhode Island State Police presented Pallotta with a pin and a plaque at the school on June 7.
"We are very proud and excited for Allison," Chianese wrote.
