Three Johnston Residents Suspects in Recent State Police Arrests

David Lombardo, 39,Nancy Aquino, 30, and Giani Defusco, 19, all of Johnston,, were charged in relation to separate incidents, police said.

JOHNSTON, RI — David Lombardo, 49, of Johnston, was arrested on Jan. 26 at 1:59 p.m., state police said. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Driving with a Suspended License, third and subsequent offense.

Troopers stopped his car on Cranston Street, Providence. He was held overnight at State Police Headquarters pending the next morning's arraignment where he was to be presented as a probation violator.

On Jan. 27 at 12:54 a.m., troopers arrested Nancy Aquino, 30, of Johnston. She was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs-1st Offense B.A.C. Unknown and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test-1st Offense. The arrest was the result of a motor vehicle stop on Leah Street in the City of Providence. She was transported to the Scituate Barracks, where she was arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult.

Giani Defusco, 19, of Johnston, was taken into custody on Saturday Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. He was picked up on a bench warrant for Failure to Appear for a Technical Violation Hearing on the initial charge of Firing Across Highway originating out of the Cranston Police Department.

The arrest was the result of troopers checking on a suspicious party at the Extended Stay on Division Road, East Greenwich. He was transported to the Wickford Barracks, processed and later turned over to the Adult Correctional Institutions.
