Address: 1300 Hartford Ave. (where BJ's Wholesale Club use-tah-be, across from the Johnston Senior Center.)

History: This was the site of BJ's Wholesale Club since the mid-80s, before the business built a new location at the top of Stone Hill Marketplace. You can just about see the new location from the parking lot of the old one, in fact.

Ownership: The Town of Johnston online Assessor's Database lists the current owner as BJ's/Johnston Associates, which purchased the property in 2005.

Status: The 104,000-sq.-ft. building, situated on a 200,000-sq.-ft. paved lot, is managed by Foundry Associates of Providence, which is currently seeking lessees and is advertising more than 20 acres for further development. (401) 272-3000.
