Whiz Kid: Alia Sasa, Johnston High School

Each week, JohnstonPatch features one of our town's great kids.

Alia Sasa, grade 9, Johnston High School.

Accomplishment: Won Best in Show at the Johnston High School science fair for her project, which was titled "How Does Acid Rain Affect Plant Life?"

The project also won an award for Best Background.

Key To Awesomeness: Consistency. Alia's recent victory at Johnston High School follows a similar result last year at N.A. Ferri Middle School, and an award from Save the Bay.

"I'm a very proud dad," said Alia's father, Bash Sasa. "This is her second consecutive year winning the science fair."
