Connie Howard to Become Potter League's New Executive Director
Her first day on the job is Feb. 6. She replaces M. Christie Smith, who retired in Dec. after 35 years.

MIDDLETOWN, RIβConnie Howard is the Potter League for Animals new executive director, the organization said today.
She has New England connections but is coming from Colorado to take her new job.
βConnie brings more than 30 years of experience in the animal welfare industry with her, as well as boundless enthusiasm for becoming a part of our organization,β said Mary Edwards, Potter League Board President.

Howard was graduated from the University of NewHampshire with an Animal Science degree. After school, she worked in a variety of posts for the New Hampshire Humane Society. Later in Vermont, she was executive Director at both the CentralVermont Humane Society and Chittenden County Humane Society.
In Colorado, she was director of shelter services for American Humane Association and vice president of operations for the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. For the last five years, she worked for PethealthInc. as vice president of client services.
