Ehh, What's Up, Doc? Bunnies Take Center Stage at Upcoming Potter League Talk
Jennifer Sears, of Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue, will offer some tips about caring for a pet bunny on Sept. 14 at Potter League for Animals.

At some point, most children will ask for a bunny. If they're lucky, you might get one. And like many, they might get one without realizing the cute critters need some special care.
Bunnies, can be delicate animals, known to suffer heart attacks when frightened or back injuries when handled improperly.
But fortunately, Jennifer Sears, of Sweet Binks Rabbit Rescue, is an expert on bunnies and will share best practices at the upcoming Sept. 14 session of Potter Pet University.

Five rabbits from the Westport, Mass., tenant farm, are among the 14 bunnies waiting for forever homes at the Potter League in Middletown. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals helped rescue the five rabbits and more than 1,000 pigs, cows, horses, cats and dogs from what's being called the biggest ever farm animal cruelty case in the Northeast.
The lecture is from 6 to 7 p.m. in the shelter's education room, 87 Oliphant Lane, Middletown, RI 02842.
