Naval War College Holds 9-11 Remembrance Ceremony at Noon
The ceremony will be held at the Patriots Memorial on the NWC campus and honors those killed on Sept. 11, 2001.

The U.S. Naval War College will hold a remembrance ceremony to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks at noon.
The ceremony will be held at the Patriots Memorial on the NWC campus and honors those killed on Sept. 11 2001.
The ceremony will also pay special tribute to the three NWC students and eight alumni who died in the terrorist tack on the Pentagon.

NWC President Rear Adm. P. Gardner Howe III will be the speaker.
The remembrance will include a wreath laying at the memorial and a bell-ringing ceremony conducted by the Newport-area chief petty officer selectees.

Patriots Memorial consists of a section of limestone removed from the damaged portion of the Pentagon. The names of the 11 fallen are inscribed on the memorial, which was dedicated in September 2002.
