5 Things: Idol, BBQ And Men

1. South Kingstown's Idol and the only Rhode Island contestant left on the primetime singing competition "American Idol" belted her heart out on the program that ran at 8 p.m. last night on Fox and made it through

2. Eddie's BBQ, a local food truck and catering business, will be at the Grinnell Inn, 83 Narragansett Ave. in Narragansett. This is part of a regular event happening every two weeks.  Doors open for dinner starting at 5 p.m. and stay open until 9 p.m.

3. Just For Men - at 6 p.m. at the Woodruff Plaza Center, 14 Woodruff Ave., Narragansett. The event is hosted by South County Hospital.

4. Looking for some action? Get your fix and support local high school athletics at one of today's games.

• The South Kingstown High School Varsity Wrestling team will face Cranston East High School in a match today at 7 p.m. located at 899 Park Ave., Cranston.
• The Prout School Boys Basketball team will play against Middletown High School today at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium, 4640 Tower Hill Road, Wakefield. The junior varsity teams hit the courts at 5:15 p.m.
