All Narragansett Residents are invited to a Narragansett Community Meeting on Tuesday, April 28th at the Narragansett Community Center on Mumford Rd (behind the Elementary School). Due to capacity seating, there will be two meeting sessions: 4:30-5:30 pm and 6:30-7:30 pm. Seating will be reserved for the first 150 registrants for each session. Celebrate the beauty of spring at Azalea Days in the Kinney Azalea Gardens! Join us for a month-long tribute to our historic azalea bloom, featuring guided tours, delightful azalea teas, and special programming.

The sale features a variety of perennials that have been lovingly cultivated in members’ gardens, in addition to colorful locally sourced geraniums. Beautiful outdoor art pressed flower notecards and bookmarks will be available as well as teacups filled with flowers and outdoor decorative cement leaves designed for a variety of uses in the garden. All are fabulous Mother’s Day items, or grab one for yourself, while they last!!!In addition, there will be Planting Demonstrations at 10:30 and a Raffe.&nbsp;Experienced Garden Club members will help gardeners make selections for their yards. Come join the fun, people come to our sale year after year to buy our quality plants, telling us that our plants thrive and come back every year. Linford Fisher in Conversation with Vanessa Lillie, 6:30pm at Narragansett Library to discuss Fisher’s new book Stealing America: The Hidden Story of Indigenous Slavery in U.S. History, which not only uncovers a five-century genocidal history but also illuminates the myriad ways Native Americans have fought for their sovereignty and maintained community. Linford D. Fisher is Associate Professor of History at Brown University and a specialist in early American and Native American history. He is the author of The Indian Great Awakening: Religion and the Shaping of Native Cultures in Early America, the co-author of two edited collections on Roger Williams, and has published a dozen academic essays. He is also the Principal Investigator of a tribal collaborative database project titled Stolen Relations: Recovering Stories of Indigenous Enslavement in the Americas. Vanessa Lillie is the author of the thrillers The Bone Thief, Blood Sisters, Little Voices and For the Best. She also serves as a board member for the Tomaquag Museum in Exeter, RI. Originally from Oklahoma, Vanessa is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation. South County Art Association invites you to our Annual ‘Quality Seconds’ Pottery and Art Sale, featuring perfectly imperfect pottery at perfect prices. Seconds pottery can be a bit wonky with minor imperfections, but it doesn't affect the overall beauty and usability of the piece. This is pottery with extra character! This event is a testament to the strong support of our local potters, who donate hundreds of pottery pieces throughout the year to support our nonprofit. You'll find mugs, plates, bowls, vases, and platters. We’ll also be offering demonstrations in pottery wheel throwing and printmaking techniques, so you can get a behind-the-scenes look at the artmaking process. From 9am to 2pm. Our 53rd Annual Earthworks Exhibition will be on view featuring works of clay from local artists. Our gallery store will be open and is filled with our members' art! From 9am to 5pm.

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
