Basil's Restaurant in Narragansett Closes After More Than 30 Years

After more than 30 years in business, Basil’s restaurant in Narragansett closed its doors Saturday.

The restaurant, which served French food, was owned by Vasilios Kourakis and his wife, Kathy.

“We know everybody by name, we know what everybody’s drinking, what everybody’s eating,” he told WPRI. “I didn’t realize the impact they we had on so many people. So it’s a little tough.”
