The Surf Shack : Bar, Restaurant & Hotel

Join Animal Rescue Rhode Island (ARRI) for our <a href="https://secure.qgiv.com/for/pupkittycrawl2026/event/pupkittycrawl" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Pup &amp; Kitty Crawl</a>, a fun evening through Narragansett's Pier featuring <a href="https://surfshackri.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">The Surf Shack Bar &amp; Restaurant</a> and <a href="https://www.boonstreetmarket.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Boon Street Market.</a> Participants will enjoy a complimentary drink and snacks at each location while supporting homeless animals in need.
Dogs are welcome to join the crawl, and participants who visit both locations will be entered into a drawing for great prizes. The event is free to attend for guests 21 and older, with a suggested $15 donation benefiting the more than 500 animals ARRI cares for each year.

Kinney Azalea Gardens

Spend a magical summer evening at Kinney Azalea Garden&nbsp;as we welcome <a target="_blank" href="https://www.princessjunemusic.com/" rel="nofollow noopener">Princess June</a>, a Newport-based mystic folk trio celebrated for their rich harmonies, thoughtful songwriting, and organic acoustic sound.

Drawing inspiration from nature, spirituality, and classic folk artists, Princess June creates an intimate musical experience that is both uplifting and deeply reflective.

Gates open at 5:00 p.m.,&nbsp;giving guests time to explore the gardens, find a seat, and enjoy refreshments before the music begins. The evening opens at 5:15 p.m.&nbsp;with local guitarist and singer-songwriter <a target="_blank" href="https://www.instagram.com/jamiemernickmusic/" rel="nofollow noopener">Jamie Mernick</a>, followed by Princess June&nbsp;taking the stage at 6:00 p.m.

As transportation improved and leisure time increased, thousands of people flocked to coastal communities for fresh air, recreation, and summer living, leading to the growth of beaches, resorts, cottages, and seasonal neighborhoods throughout the state. Using communities such as Matunuck and other Rhode Island shore resorts as examples, the presentation examines how these popular summer destinations developed and how many eventually evolved into the year-round coastal communities we know today.

Deans Mill Farm 

Built in the mid-1700s as a functioning livestock farm, Deans Mill Farm has gone through an evolution in recent decades. A full renovation of the historic buildings and rejuvenation of the surrounding 70+ acres has made the property into the incredible venue it is today. Deans Mill Farm now operates primarily as a private event space and five-room bed and breakfast tucked down a private road in Stonington, Connecticut. It shares its property with Dragonfly Equestrian Center and is home to dozens of horses. On the property lies meadows, hiking trails, beautiful fields and Dragonfly Disc Golf. The property can be rented for weddings, birthday parties and other special events. Additionally, the bed and breakfast can be rented by the room or reserved in its entirety for complete privacy. The Farm has the ability to host small private indoor events for up to 50 guests in the Farmhouse. Outdoor tented events are our specialty, with numerous locations on-site that are picturesque for your celebration. Outdoor tented celebrations can accommodate up to 250 guests.
