Camp Hoffman Beach In South Kingstown Reopens For Swimming

SOUTH KINGSTOWN, RI — Camp Hoffman Beach in Kingston can reopen for swimming Monday, following a closure due to high bacteria levels, officials with the Rhode Island Department of Health said.

State health officials said bacteria levels returned to safe levels. The beach, along with Camp Beach in Kingston, were both closed for swimming Thursday over their bacteria levels in the water.

RIDOH officials said they will continue to monitor and review beach water quality regularly to ensure safe bathing throughout summer.
