District Court Logs: April 26, 2012

WAKEFIELD - The following cases were heard before Judge Mary E. McCaffrey in Fourth Division District Court at the J. Howard McGrath Judicial Complex, 4800 Tower Hill Road, South Kingstown:

• Jared M. LaPlante, 23, of 317 High St., South Kingstown, pleased no contest to driving under the influence, blood-alcohol content unknown. He was sentenced to pay a $100 fine, complete 10 hours of community service, forfeit his license for three months, complete DUI school, and to pay assessments and court costs. The town dismissed charges against LaPlante pending in the state Traffic Tribunal.
• Jamie B. Pinkerton, 21, of 21 Beaver Drive, Bayville, NY, pleased no contest to public urination, a town ordinance violation. He was sentenced to pay $50 to the Victims of Crime Indemnity Fund and court costs.
• Michael J. Atzert, 22, of 52 Ministerial Road, South Kingstown, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence, BAC greater than .15. He was ordered to pay a $500 fine, complete 20 hours of community service, forfeit his license for three months, complete DWI school, assessments and pay court costs. The town dismissed charges against Atzert pending in the state Traffic Tribunal.
• Anthony J. Russoniello, 20, of 9 Bayberry Drive, Homdell, NJ, pleaded no contest to public urination, a town ordinance violation. He was sentenced to pay $50 to the Victims of Crime Indemnity Fund plus court costs.
• Andrew Paolucci, 21, of 86 Sandy Path Place, Yarmouth, MA, pleaded no contest to public urination, a town ordinance violation. He was sentenced to pay $50 to the Victims of Crime Indemnity Fund plus court costs.
• Scott E. James, 27, of 3942 Kingstown Road, West Kingston, pleaded no contest to driving under the influence, BAC unknown. He was sentenced to pay a $500 fine, complete 20 hours of community service, forfeit his license for four months, complete DWI school, alcohol treatment, assessments and pay court costs. The town dismissed charges against James pending in the state Traffic Tribunal.
• A charge of possession of marijuana against John Celico, 18, of 155 Old North Road, South Kingstown, was dismissed.
