
URI’s 80-voice University Chorus offers "Love, War, and Spirit," a concert of works by American composers, conducted by Andrew Howell. The program of nearly a dozen works includes Johnny has Gone for a Soldier (arr. Shaw-Parker) with soloist Kelsey Sheehan; Three Madrigals by Diemer; Flanders Fields by Aitken; The Battle Hymn of the Republic (arr. Bennett); Serenity by Charles Ives, with soloist Rebecca Cunha; and Randall Thompson's The Lord is my Shepherd, to be conducted by graduate assistant conductor, Peter Waite.
