A free concert will be offered to the public by alumni of the URI Music Department (with some former non-music major participants in the band program). They will perform Divertimento for Band by Vincent Persichetti, O Magnus Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen (arr. Reynolds), and William Byrd Suite by Gordon Jacob. The group will rehearse Friday evening, most of the day on Saturday, then give the Sunday concert. Brian Cardany directs –interested alums should contact him for more info.
