Hairspray The Musical

Big Hair is coming to the stage at the Courthouse Center for The Arts April 1 with the premiere of the Sixties-era musical Hairspray.

Pleasingly-plump teen Tracy Turnblad (Kendra Alati) dreams of dancing on the “Corny Collins Show,” and when she finally wins a role on the dance-craze show, she soon sets her sights much higher.

Sponsored by Spa Mosaic, Hairspray tackles many of the Sixties-era social injustices, racial issues, teenage angst and family dynamics through song, dance and aerosol-enhanced hairstyles.
