Historic South Ferry Walking Tour

Join us at the Narragansett Bay Classroom for this popular 90 minute interpretive walk featuring the historic South Ferry area. Today's walk will be led by Wayne and Bernice Durfee, the program begins with a half-hour presentation of historic photos at the Coastal Institute Visitor Center. The walk then takes you down to the site of the old ferry landing, near the remains of WWI military bunkers overlooking Narragansett Bay, and through the campus of the Graduate School of Oceanography. The walking tours are Free and are designed for adult audiences.
