Mews Tavern Hosts the 21st Annual Canoe/Kayak Race

Join us at the 21st Annual Canoe/Kayak Race to benefit the Animal Rescue League of Southern RI.

The race will start at the Ocean Mist and travel through beautiful salt ponds and then onto the Saugatucket River. The race will end at the Mews Tavern on Main Street.  Here participants can relax and enjoy free food, beer and music. Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories.

If you don’t have a canoe or kayak, it's no problem. Rentals will be available on race day at the Ocean Mist thanks to The Kayak Centre of RI.  You can also call 401-295-4400 to reserve your kayak before race day.

If you would like to skip the race, a $20 donation will be accepted from non-race participants who want to join the fun at The Mews.

All Proceeds from today will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Southern RI. Dog and cat food donations will also be happily accepted.
