The Narragansett Youth Basketball Association is hosting its annual Tip Off Classic this weekend. Sixty one youth basketball teams from around Rhode Island will be competing in the tournament. The tournament hosts games for girls and boys between the ages of 9 to 13 years old. Admission to the event is $3.00 for a day pass and $5.00 for a weekend pass. The Tournament kicks off Friday evening with the NYBA Boys 13 year old age group playing at Narragansett Elementary School at 8pm and 9pm. Games will also take place at the Narragansett Pier School that evening for the boys 12 year old division.
The Tournament will continue to take place all day on Saturday for the five age groups competing. Games will be held at all three Narragansett Schools with the Championship games taking place on Sunday. The NYBA will also be sponsoring a holiday food drive in conjunction with the Johnnycake Center of Peacedale. We are asking that players, friends and family bring holiday goods and canned food over the tournament weekend. Bins will be located at all schools for collections.
