Piano Extravaganza! Festival 2012, URI Faculty Artists and Students Concert

The Saturday evening concert will feature nine pianists chosen by audition from the students in the URI piano program, who will play a variety of solo, duet and piano ensemble music. Festival Guest Artist Noriko Ohtake and URI's Dr Manabu Takasawa will reprise the Gershwin finale from the previous night's concert, performed as variations for two pianos.

Performers are expected to include: William Johnson, music major, Wakefield; Justin Kisch, graduate music education, Narragansett; Alexander Breault, music education major, West Warwick; Alyssa Dagenais, music education major, Douglas, MA; Ian Otenti, music major, Providence; Alexander Gorelick, music performance major, Jamestown; Katherine Williams, music education major, Coventry; Jonathan Audette, music performance major, Lincoln; and Ian Turner, pharmaceutical sciences major, Neptune, NJ.
