Youth and veterans who are disabled or have weakened health conditions can learn to shred the waves like the pros at Narragansett Town Beach South Pavilion during Sensations Charitable Foundation’s Annual Surf Day. Under the guidance of Peter Pan Surfing Academy of Narragansett, Rhode Island and the help of a full complement of sponsors and volunteers, participants will be “hanging ten” in no time. Sensational Surf Day is guaranteed to invigorate the senses.
Surfing has been found to improve social skills, to challenge physical strength and to fulfill sensory-seeking behaviors. Sensational Surf Day is a thrilling experience for disabled youth and adults in a fully-supported environment. Participants get a preview of surfing beginning with dry lesson details then hit the water with one-to-one assistance.
Registration is FREE. Space is limited. To register in advance, call Brian Armstrong (860)701-0355. Registration on Sensational Surf Day begins at 9:00 AM if space permits.
Youth surf instruction starts at 10:00 AM and adult surf instruction at 1:30 PM. Narragansett Town Beach South Pavilion is located at 39 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett, Rhode Island.
