Showboat at the Goodspeed Opera House in CT

It's Back....the play "SHOWBOAT" and it is at the beautiful, historic Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, CT and we are going!

With this trip we have used our group discount to also include lunch at the prestgious Gelston House!

The monumental American classic Show Boat sails into Goodspeed Opera House  featuring such memorable songs as "Ol' Man River", and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man” will run from July 1 – September 11.

We are going on JULY 20th.

WE CHOSE A MATINEE SO YOU WILL HAVE TIME TO EXPLORE THE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE TOWN OF EAST HADDAM, CT.

We will arrive early so you have time beforehand to tour the picturesque waterside town near the Goodspeed Opera House.

Then we are off to the Gelston House for lunch at 12pm. The lunch choices are: Baked Chicken with Mushroom Stuffing, vegatable and mashed potatoes  or Grilled Tilapia with vegatable and potato. Both include salad and dessert.

The seats are side orchestra, which is on the first level, very good seats according to Goodspeed!

THE PRICE IS A LITTLE HIGHER DUE TO THE SEAT LOCATION AND THE FACT THAT THIS SHOW IS A MATINEE and best of all we purchased a lunch/show package for the wonderful Gelston House. See link to their website below. Their food is superb!
