The South Ferry Church is hosting its 9th Annual Lecture Series at the Church on South Ferry Road throughout the month of August. All lectures are free and open to the public. Donations always welcome.
The Lecture Series schedule includes:
Monday, August 1, 2011 - Keith Stokes, executive director of the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation. Stokes will discuss Rhode Island’s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats as the state works to grow its economy and create jobs.
Monday, August 8, 2011 - Dr. Dennis W. Michaud, president, Providence Consulting Group, LLC. Dr. Michaud is an expert on the Middle East. Having recently returned from celebrating Ramadan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, he will be discussing his experiences there and what's on the minds of those in that region.

Monday, August 15, 2011 - Dr. John H. Maurer, chair of the Strategy and Policy Department at the Naval War College. Dr. Maurer will give his well-known talk, “FDR, Churchill and the Road to Pearl Harbor – Lessons for Today.”
Monday, August 22, 2011 - Jim Taricani, award-winning investigative reporter for WJAR-TV, NBC 10 in Providence. Taricani will discuss the latest news events as well as the issues facing journalists today.
