This class presented by David Nelson and David Johnson of the USCG Auxiliary will help you know what to do in this situation. You should always be prepared if your captain becomes incapaciatated.

This one-day 3 hour course is desgined for those not usually at the helm of the boat and will help them to be prepared if they are to be put SUDDENLY IN COMMAND!

You will be taught the following:

  • About your vessel
  • Basic terminology and operating principals
  • How to start the engine
  • Learn what can cause boating mishaps and how to minimize them
  • Basic boat handling and what you should always have on board

Sadly misfortune CAN happen, if you are ever placed in that situation, this class will help you be prepared and you will be very glad you took it! This class is very low cost at $12.00 for both residents and non-residents alike. So plan on 3 hours and learn some very important skills!
