Lamp-lit 75-minute walking tours through historic Kingston Village (c. 1700) led by historians of the Pettaquamscutt Historical Society, highlighting noted historic village landmarks, and sharing stories of the region’s criminal past, and the bizarre tales of the unexplained told by today’s residents. Tours begin at the stockade outside the Old Washington County Jail, and end in the dark, cold stone jail cells in the basement of the 1858 building, where notorious Washington County criminals were once imprisoned. The program offers an educational yet eerie experience. Three weeks only, October 11 to 27; Thursday 7:30, Friday and Saturday 7:30 and 9:30. $15 per adult, $10 per child 12 and under. Only severe weather will cancel; dress appropriately for outdoor walking. All proceeds benefit the PHS. 401-783-1328. Space is limited, so reservations are strongly recommended!
