Tillinghast Nightmare

THE TILLINGHAST NIGHTMARE - VAMPIRES IN RHODE ISLAND

A free film screening of The Tillinghast Nightmare will be held at the Kingston Free Library.  Produced by filmmaker Alec Asten and supported by the Rhode Island Council for the Humanities,  this documentary takes us to Exeter, RI in 1799.  Members of Stukely Tillinghast's family were dying.  To save the lives of those remaining, Tillinghast knew what he must do - dig up the body of his daughter Sarah, cut out her heat and burn it.  The film explores Rhode Island circa 1799 to make sense of this gruesome practice.  The findings may surprise you.  Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction!  Come join us to enjoy this creepy legend from South County
