The University of Rhode Island has invited the public to tour the Inner Space Center at the Graduate School of Oceanography this summer.
This facility brings real-time oceanographic explorations to Rhode Island, and, via telepresence, the world. Participants will learn where the latest deep sea explorations are taking place, see artifacts from earlier expeditions, and listen in as scientists make their next discoveries. The 45-minute tour is free on the first Tuesday of every month. The program runs until September 4, 2012.
Reservations are required. Contact Todd McLeish at tmcleish@advance.uri.edu or 401-874-7892.
