The Rams are offering a pair of preseason clinics - one for pitching/catching and another for hitting - as well their "Be a Ram Camp" for players in grades 9-12.

Preseason Pitching and Catching Clinic - 4 Sessions
The University of Rhode Island Preseason Pitching and Catching Clinic is a clinic of comprehensive work that will give the player a head start for the coming season. The Preseason Pitching and Catching Clinic is filled with instruction, individual drills, optional videotaping, group drills and informative sessions on the best approach to Pitching and Catching.
The pitching clinic focuses on throwing fundamentals as well as pitching mechanics. Instructors work specific drills each week to improve the mechanics of the pitcher including balance, arm slot, direction of body, to enhance the location and consistency of pitches. Head Coach Jim Foster and assistant Chris Smith will run this clinic.

The catching clinic will afford catchers a great opportunity to work with URI Head Coach Jim Foster. Working with players in a small group, we will focus on individual development such as proper blocking and throwing techniques,as well as controlling a game from behind the plate.
Cost:
$125.00 per person/$50.00 to add video analysis

Grades 4-8: 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Grades 9-12: 7:30pm - 8:45pm
Preseason Hitting Clinic - 4 Sessions
The University of Rhode Island Preseason Hitting Clinic is a clinic of comprehensive work that will give the player a head start for the coming season. The Preseason Hitting Clinic is filled with instruction, individual drills, optional videotaping, group drills and informative sessions on the best approach to hitting.
This clinic focuses on the mechanics of hitting as well as some of the mental aspects. Our instructors will individually evaluate and help correct potential flaws in the players swing during this four week period.
The camp will be run by URI assistant coaches Raphael Cerrato and Eric Cirella.

$125.00 per person/$50.00 to add video analysis

1/11, 1/18, 1/25 and 2/1
Times:
Grades 4-8: 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Grades 9-12: 7:30pm - 8:45pm
Be a Ram Camp
The Be a Ram Camp, which is open to high school players, features quality instruction and evaluation by the University of Rhode Island Baseball Coaching Staff.
Players will have to opportunity expand their baseball skills and benefit from a unique, competitive and challenging atmosphere.
This camp is specifically designed for the high school baseball player serious about baseball and looking to continue playing at the next levels of the game.
Cost:
$100.00 for position player or pitcher.
$125.00 to be evaluated as both a position player and pitcher.

Position Players:
9:30am: registration (Baseball Hitting Barn)
9:30-10:30: Stretch and run 60-yard dash
10:30-Noon: Hitting/defensive evaluations
Noon: tour the athletic facilities and school (weather permitting)
Pitchers:
Noon: registration for pitchers (Baseball Hitting Barn)
12:30-1:00: Stretch
1:00-3:00pm: Bullpens, pitching evaluations, strength and conditioning work, university and athletic tours
*Catchers will stay for both sessions and will be evaluated on their defensive work during the pitcher sessions.
