Fish Story? Fishermen Say They Caught Great White, Threw It Back
The shark was caught a mile off Misquamicut State Beach, according to a Facebook post shared by WPRI-TV and WJAR-TV.
WESTERLY, RI — A shark in the water off North Truro Beach on Cape Cod prompted authorities Monday to close the beach for swimming. Patch reported the shark was spotted from a lifeguard plane, and the beach closed around 12:40 p.m. The news comes a day after a Great White was reported near a Rhode Island state beach. The shark was caught a mile off Misquamicut State Beach, according to a commercial fisherman's Facebook post reported by WPRI-TV and WJAR-TV.
