Five Events For Seniors This Week

Summer has begun and  has some great events for seniors happening this week. For a full event listing, check out the calender. Be sure to check back next week for more events happening in July. 

• Mornings With Molly

Stop by on Friday, June 29, at 10 a.m. to visit with Molly, a golden retriever, and her owner Joanne LaBelle. Come by to visit with Molly and see her do cool tricks and play with her. 

• Scams and Frauds Presentation

The Senior Outreach Program from the Rhode Island Office of the Attorney General is coming the Center on Wednesday, June 29 at 10 a.m. to give a lecture about  scams, telemarketing fraud, identity theft, among other topics. This event will help you learn how to prevent yourself from becoming the victim of identity theft and other dishonest operations.  

• Art History Class

Art history class at the Center meets every Friday at 11 a.m. You don't have to be an art specialist or have had any experience with art to come to the class. All they ask is that you bring a creative mind!

• Cribbage

Are you a pro at cribbage? Or maybe you want to learn? Come to the Center every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. to play cribbage with other gamers.  

• Spanish Class

Come on Fridays at 11 a.m. to start learning to speak spanish with Joan, our spanish instructor. Even if you've never said a word of spanish or you're have a college degree in it, come!
