Five Injured Including 3 Children in Charlestown House Fire
A one-story home was gutted by fire this morning, according to Charlestown police Chief Jeffrey Allen.

CHARLESTOWN, RI— Five people were taken to Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children's Hospital to be treated for injuries suffered when a fire broke out in their home, police Chief Jeffrey Allen has confirmed.
The chief said three of the injured are "juveniles," and at least two suffered "very significant injuries."
The department received numerous 911 calls around 10:13 a.m. reporting fire at 772 Alton Carolina Road, which is also known as Route 91, he said.

Firefighters from Ashaway, Hope and Carolina also responded and provided mutual aid, he said. The state fire marshal and Charlestown officials are still at the scene investigating the cause, he said.
