If you're blessed with a Mother still with you, you may want to invite her to join you for a stroll through The General Stanton Inn Flea Market on Mothers' Day, May 13--after brunch or before lunch.

We're open from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. and Early Birds are always welcome to fly in for a first look at the field...
(As you may know, The General Stanton Inn Flea Market is set on the tree-shaded, 7-plus acres of Charlestown's historic inn, which was established in 1767.)

Or perhaps you'll be a different kind of early bird and come to The Flea Market THIS Sunday May 6 (same hours, 8 a.m.-3 p.m.)--and get your Mother's gift "all-wrapped-up"... a week in advance.

The 2018 season of this weekend, outdoor, antiques and collectibles Flea Market, runs until Columbus Day, Monday, October 8. It will be open on Sundays only, until Memorial Day Weekend.

Over the Memorial Day Holiday, The General Stanton Inn Flea Market starts its' expanded, "Summer Hours"--opening every Saturday, Sunday and Holiday Monday, 8 a.m.-3 p.m..

Heart-healthy food will be available for sale at The General Stanton Inn Flea Market this season, prepared by Valentini's Kitchen.

The General Stanton Inn Flea Market was ready to open LAST Sunday...yet was "called" due to rain.
Vendors who've been collecting alllllll Winter long, are eager to have you see--and purchase-- some of their new ( and, in most cases, "old") treasures...(Think antiques... and vintage and costume jewelry,,,and quite possibly, almost everything under the sun!)

As Flea Market vendors, we often hear Mothers--of all ages--saying to their children (again, of all ages!)--as they pass by a booth of vintage items: "Oh! we had one of those when I was a girl!" OR: "I haven't seen one of THOSE for (fill-in-the-blank) years!" We love to see Mothers smile...as they travel down "Memory Lane" at the Flea Market.

And equally as often, we'll hear a person passing by, wistfully whispering: "Oh, my Mother had dishes...or earrings...OR... (fill-in-the-blank), like that, when I was a kid...." That dish or other vintage item becomes a touchstone to their own beloved memories of Mom...

Antiques and vintage items have that way of bringing back memories...from our Mothers and of our Mothers...in a way that little else can...
