It's the 4th of July weekend and its time to celebrate! We've put together a guide so you know whats happening this Independence day weekend.
- Annual South Kingstown 4th of July Celebration at Old Mountain Field
Where/When: South Kingstown Town Old Mountain Field, 875 Kingstown Rd, South Kingstown, on Monday, July 4th, from 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m.
Why Go: There will be live music by Waits Corner and The Westmoreland Street Jammers, children’s activities, and the awesome fireworks display at 9 p.m.

- Annual Snug Harbor 4th of July Parade
Where/When: The parade begins at 410 Gooseberry Rd, South Kingstown, (Reviewing Stand) on Monday, July 4th from 6 p.m.-7 p.m.
The parade will makes its to West St., Gooseberry Road, Hull St, Point Ave, Sherman Road, ending at the reviewing stand at the Snug Harbor marina.

Why Go: The Snug Harbor Volunteer Fire Company will lead the parade and will be showing off their new 2011 fire engine along with other engines and their rescue boat. The parade will have representatives from family, town, and civic groups, musical groups, antique cars, trucks, and tractors.

- Lafayette Summer Independence Day Concert
Where/When: North Kingstown Town Beach, 15 Beach St, North Kingstown on Monday, July 4th at 7 p.m.
Why Go: The Lafayette Band will be playing some marches and patriotic songs in honor of July 4th and the popular Hummingbird Vocal Trio will be guests. Audiences of all ages are encouraged to attend as they will be playing music from many eras.
Price: Free, the public is welcome to bring lawn chairs and picnic food to eat.
- Sixth Annual Perryville Antique Auto Show
Where/When: South Kingstown Land Trust Barn, 17 Matunuck Beach Road, South Kingstown on July 3rd from 12 p.m.-4 p.m.
Why Go: Besides the various antique automobile exhibits, there will be music from the Perryville Country Band, a silent auction, a arts and crafts marketplace, a petting zoo, and hayrides will be offered.

- Independence Day Rhode Island Red Chick Hatch
Where/When: South County Museum, 100 Strathmore St, Narragansett on July 4th from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Why Go: Come visit the living history museum and also find out the answer to the eternal question ...Which came first? See the chicks hatch and also make plans to visit throughout the summer to see the how the baby chicks grow!
