International Children's Choir to Perform at Brightview Commons

Matsiko Choir makes first trip to the east coast with July 11 performance at 2:00 pm. Concert is free and open to the public.

Brightview Commons, a popular senior living community in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, will host The Matsiko World Orphan Choir, a choir comprised of orphaned and at-risk children from Peru, Liberia and India, on Monday, July 11 at 2:00 pm.

“The choir is made up of 18 children – ages 9 – 13 – from Liberia, Peru and India,” explains Vibrant Living Director Hollie Moone. “They are singing and dancing around the United States, sharing a message of hope for the world’s 600 million orphaned and at risk children.”

“This is their first time performing on the east coast so this is truly special. We are thrilled to have them share their talents with us at Brightview.”

The event will raise funds and raise awareness for The Matsiko World Orphan Choir, a program founded in 2008 by the International Children’s Network (ICN). Proceeds go directly to support the program and affords orphaned and at-risk children educational opportunities through university.

A table of beautiful crafts – including sculptures, purses, scarves, necklaces, bracelets as well as Matsiko CD’s and t-shirts – will be on sale and will benefit the children of the choir.
