To my mind, there is no such thing as a 'bad'-decision, just, those, which we are, BEST, capable of making at any given time; this, naturally, is, simply MY, opinion. Regardless, how we perceive how one comes to erring, making 'poor' choices, or 'F'ing'-up, in life, the 'bottom-line' is, that, we do. It may take the passage of time, or the 'reaction' of others, in our life, to 'call to mind' the fact, that, we 'screwed-up'; but...eventually, if a 'choice' turns out to be the 'wrong' one, we discover this, soon enough. Does this 'new-found' realization promise us that we won't mess-up again? In an 'ideal'-world, yes...it would; However, most, frequently, this ain't the way it plays out, as, in the 'real'-world, we may, continue to 'botch things up' from time to time, and, often, within the same, 'concern' or area of our life. I tend to look at these moments as learning-'opportunities', with the reality being, that, some life-'lessons' require repeated 'teaching'. As far as I'm concerned, life ought, ALWAYS, be an opportunity to learn things, MOST, especially, about ourselves, as we relate to ourselves, others, and, the Universe; Much of this, learned-'awareness' will come about by way of the 'School of Hard-Knocks' as it were; but, there is a BRIGHT-side to this, which is, that, once a 'lesson' IS learned...and GOOD, it can serve us throughout our years. Yet, there can, as well, exist another side to this, situation, which, can come in the form of our inability to forgive ourselves for our 'faults', frailties, and, perceived, 'failures'. When this occurs, NO lesson can, TRULY, be learned, for, in order for this to happen, we, too, MUST be able to move forward...away from the negativity, and, forgive ourselves for our, 'shortcomings'. In cases, as this, it is important to acknowledge, that, no matter WHAT we do, in life, Jesus forgives us, when we ask Him to. Recognizing this, TRUTH, that, God loves us, no matter what, and, is willing to forgive us our 'sins', once, repented, CAN give one the courage, strength and wherewithal to forgive one's-self; with, this step being the first, toward many, in the process of learning, relative to LIFE. Just Sayin'...
