Learn about new technology for successful hip, knee repair

Since 2012, South County Hospital's orthopedic surgeons have successfully performed over 4,000 hip and knee repair or replacement procedures using a high-tech, surgeon-controlled robotic arm system. On Wednesday, June 29, 2016, South County Health will host a free lecture on the procedure and the proven results of restoring patients' mobility and active lifestyles.
Mako(TM) Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology was designed to assist surgeons in attaining the highest level of surgical precision to replicate the unique bone structure of each patient. South County Hospital is the only hospital in Rhode Island to offer this technology, with the most experienced surgeons in the state on staff.
The free lecture will take place on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at the South County Health Medical & Wellness Center in Westerly, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Center is located at 268 Post Road (Rt. 1, near Walmart).
