As it can be, sometimes, in life, in the instances when change, some, which we NEVER ask for, occurs, or, the moments, which arise, that challenge us crop up, we may, very well, seek solace and comfort from our past...looking back...holding on to a time when life felt more, stable, happier, or predictable. This, type, behavior is very common...quite, 'normal', indeed, as during these, difficult, days, we need to 'anchor' ourselves to anything which will 'right'-us. It is all, 'well and good' to allow a bit of nostalgia to creep into our minds, on occasion, as a way to recall better days, perhaps, but, to allow ourselves to become 'stuck' in the past, tethered to a time, long ago, is not healthy. The past is not intended to be a 'hitching-post', tying us to a previously, lived-life, but, instead, a 'guide-post', designed to teach us lessons and to learn from our former experiences. It can be easy to allow ourselves to 'escape' to another, 'place and time' when life, in the 'now' seems too difficult to bear; but, it is NOT the answer, by and large. Moving on and going forward from our, 'tough and troublesome-times' is what we must do, in order to enjoy life to the fullest, allowing ourselves to 'take-away', from those times, those, opportunities for growth, some, well-learned, life-lesson(s). During these, painful and problematic phases of our lives, it can be, quite, helpful to seek out Another. to aid us in our endeavor; He who is A, True, 'Guide-Post' or, 'Guiding-Light', to assist us in our arduous-journey. God is ALWAYS here, for us, to comfort us in our needful-times, to give us guidance when we are lost, and, to help propel us forward on our path. He can teach us, from our past, that, the best, road, in life, is the one we walk, in the present, with Him. Just Sayin'...
