Maine Woman Arrested For Possesion Of Illegal Substance
Marina R. Barron, 20, of 74 Turner Road in Rockland, Maine, was arrested on Aug. 1 at 9:15 p.m. on a charge of possessing marijuana.
Police pulled the vehicle that Barron was passenger in over for reportedly traveling at 42 mph in a posted 25 mph zone. The driver, a minor, said he did not have his Maine drivers license on him. According to police, the driver said there were no illegal substances in the car.

Police asked both the driver and Barron to exit the vehicle so they could search it. Police allegedly found a plastic bag of a green, leafy substance in Barron’s purse, along with several cans of beer in the back seat. Police noted that both the driver and Barron were under 21.
The substance tested positive for marijuana, according to reports. Police arrested Barron and transported her to headquarters, where she was later arraigned and released on personal recognizance.

Police issued the driver a 4th district court summons for transportation of alcohol by a minor and a ticket for speeding.
